The Wholesale Technology Services Database Administration and Infrastructure organization is looking for a Database Analyst to help support our Global Treasury Systems (GTS) application database environments. This position will work in a team of DBA s to provide operational DBA support and services for mission critical business channel applications. Responsibilities: Assists in the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-class databases. Consults with and advises management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction. Handles and leads various small to medium-scale or moderately complex data/database management activities including one or more of the following: designing moderately complex logical and/or physical databases; data modeling, mapping, integration, and some capacity planning efforts; implementing management policies, procedures and standards; and business requirements identification, analysis and development. Provides mentoring, guidance and general oversight to less experienced staff in a variety of database design, administration and/or modeling activities. May lead moderately sized projects.
Basic Qualifications: 7+ years database design and administration experience.
Minimum Qualifications: Experience Level: - 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA. - In depth understanding of Oracle RAC, Dataguard, Recovery Manager and Performance Tuning. - Knowledge of architectural design concepts. - Demonstrated ability to interface with all organizational levels including facilitating meetings. - Ability to present technical information intra/inter-departmentally. - Demonstrated knowledge of current and developing technologies and ability to analyze technology for use in current environment. - Demonstrated ability to lead installation of large, high risk projects. - Demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships. - Demonstrated experience with all levels of testing including systems, performance, and acceptance. - Demonstrated project management success. - Coordination, facilitation, prioritization skills.
Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of financial services industry. - Knowledge of Oracle Shareplex and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
